Springfield is located at the major crossroads of I-44 and State Hwy 65 in southwest Missouri. The growth of this city has gravitated south, toward the popular Branson destination, which is about a 30-minute drive. On just the south side of Springfield are the communities of Nixa and Ozark, settled against the James River basin and Ozark mountains. There are multiple smaller and more rural towns surrounding all sides of Springfield for those who like a more country feel, possibly with more acreage. Springfield offers multiple opportunities for higher education and a central hub for health services.
